Community Fun is Coming to Exton

Even though your ASHBRIDGE Exton apartment is right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Exton, it’s also close enough to the rolling hills of Chester County that you can enjoy all that country living has to offer. While wineries, produce from local farms and some of the best scenery around are just a few of the perks of the region, another is the sense of community—which will be on full display at one of the region’s biggest and best events this month.

After taking a break last summer because of the pandemic, organizers of the Uwchlan Township Community Day are bringing the event back this month. At 5 p.m. Aug. 21, join neighbors and friends for a family-friendly community fair at Lionville Park, five minutes from your Ashbridge Exton apartment. Throughout the evening, enjoy three staples of summer—food, fun and fireworks!—along with lots more.

The event will welcome some of the region’s most popular food trucks, so you can grab dinner or just snack as you stroll the grounds. There will be vendors, local businesses and community groups on hand to connect visitors with local talent and with local opportunities. DJ Bill Whitney will provide the live music to keep the crowds energized and dancing. If you have youngsters in your life, this is a great summer outing to take them to, as they can enjoy face painting and balloon animals as well as tours of the vehicles used by the Lionville Fire Department.

And when the sun sets, it’s time for fireworks! Bring along a blanket or chairs to pull up a seat and enjoy one of the best shows around.
